2011 Coming to a Close

Wow, guess I have been slacking on updating my blog. Well since we last post a ton has happened. Ryan, Sean and I went to New Orleans and Florida. We had a wonderful time. Sean enjoyed the Southern cooking, and the creepy reptiles. I finally got the new classroom I have been hoping for and it is beautiful. A little small but very nice. I also managed to get a great staff this year which has made my year go by so quickly. This summer Ryan, Justin and I got away and went to Vegas for a few days. It was a nice trip away from Sean, but we really missed him. Shortly after our trip we found out we will be adding a new addition to the family. Yup that's right, I am expecting. At this stage right now I am currently at just about 6 months. (Its amazing how time flies). Sean is getting bigger by the day, and he is enjoying preschool. So much that while we were off during Thanksgiving he actually asked if he had to stay home with me. Cause he wanted to go to school. As you know Sean is 4 now and very excited about a baby coming.( As of right now). In the beginning he was desperately hoping for a girl. But after a ton of talking he is now fine with either a boy or a girl. Apparently by little on thought you can only become a big brother if you had a little sister. Once I explained it to him that his status would be the same either way he was fine. ( Now he hopes its a boy so he doesn't have to get rid of toys). Either way, getting him to understand that babies don't just come when he wants them too has been a laugh. As for everything else, we were able to spend plenty of time at the river this year, and just like always had a blast. It is so much fun having all the family there. In December Dad had his final water polo banquet. With a lot of planning we were able to make the day very special. We were able to get many of his old players together for a night he would never forget. That leads me to now. It is almost Christmas and it is amazing to think another year is over. Guess I am going to have to get better at this blogging thing in order to keep up. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and if you are reading this all the way we love you. Hope everyone has a great 2012

Spring Time

Wow, time has flown. Here we are already in April. Taxes are done, and all of our trips have been taken. Recently, Ryan Sean and I have been doing a lot of flying. First we went to Arizona for our normal Spring Training Trip. We had tons of baseball, a car with a busted radiator and a fall down the stairs( that would be me of course). But all in all it was a great trip. Sean even managed to get a few baseballs signed, and a bat from his favorite player (Joe). Shortly after returning we began to get ready for our big adventure. The three of us hopped on a plane for a 10 day trip to New Orleans and Florida. WE got to spend time with my family in New Orleans and we had a blast. We learned that alligators come in white sometimes, and that alligators like to eat hot dogs. We also discovered that Sean may be more of a Southern boy then predicted. He highly enjoyed Burbon Street, beads and grits... oh and I can not forget the deep friend cajun turkey. We hit up the zoo, aquarium, insecterium, swamp tour and Mardi Gras world. It was truly a wonderful trip. Did I mention we also made it to Mississippi to see some for Ryans friends from the academy. Oh yes, we were busy.

So, after a flight delay cause of bad weather we managed to make it to Florida.. the relaxing part of our trip... so I thought. Once we got to Florida we discovered Seans no fear attitude when it comes to the ocean. (lets just say Mommy was a little freaked out) Sean ran into the ocean like he had done it a million times. A wave would hit him and he would get right back up. That is until he got a ton of water in his mouth. We managed to go shopping, on an Everglades tour, to a baseball game, not to mention the great food. Did I mention Sean held a baby alligator!

Once we got home we had a whole new adventure. TBALL... at first Sean was not into the idea of playing, but he quickly warmed up, and now he loves it. Guess there is never a dual moment in the life of a Casey... Talk to you soon. Loves

2011 Begins

Wow... where to being. The beginning of the year has already been insainly busy. We have been to San Diego and spent time with family and friends, we have been to Spring Training (again), and we are getting ready to head out on one more adventure. In a couple of weeks we are heading to New Orleans and Florida. Sean did great flying when we went to Arizona, so now we are going for distance. Mommy is just hoping he sleeps most of the flight. This past weekend I actually got a weekend to myself. I was able to go to Laughlin with my Mom and Grandma. We had a blast, and we even got to see Reba in concert. It was totally amazing how good she is. Recently Sean has been doing really good to. He has been doing good in preschool, and is going to be starting Tball in April. He is so excited. He insists he practices every day. 2011 has began as a pretty crappy year, so we are hoping it is getin better. It is our friends and family that make every second worth it. We love you all.

ShutterFly.... Christmas?

Well, I was on the Sharethe31secrets website yesterday and discoverd a promotion for 50 free Christmans cards. After looking through the cards I noticed many wonderful prints. Each year I order Photobooks from Shutterfly for each of the Grandparents but never looked at anything else. I have decided that my card of choice this year is going to the the Naughty or Nice one. After having the year we have had with a two year old/ three year old it only seems fitting as the card is as cute as some of his attitudes. I am very amazed when it comes to the quality of work that I receive from Shutterfly every year. And to add to it the idea of being able to do 2 things on my shopping is an even better deal. I have looked through many of the websites and thought I could share a couple with you. So of the websites that Shutterfly has to offer are... www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery

I have found many wonderful things on the shutterfly website. And I am hoping they continue with the wonderful new products they are coming out with. Anyone who would like a real creative way to keep track and document their childs life and their own the Photobooks are amazing as well. I have a baby book, a wedding book and a year book for each year that my son has been with us. It is amazing to look back at the priceless memories and know they are there forever. I really hope that anyone who has the opportunity to look at this website does. You will not be disappointed. It is amazing how you will find yourself coming back each year to see the new detail and examples that they have. Not to mention they offer the best online deals

How Time Flies

Wow, I must say we have been so busy lately. We have been to Sea World, Birthday parties, movies, pumpkin patches, Big Bear and Oak Glen. It is amazing to think that we have had any time to do anything. The scary part is that Sean starts Pre-school on Tuesday. How crazy is that. I am so excited for him but a little freaked out that it has come so fast. But he is a very smart boy, and I am sure he will do fine. We have also managed to make it 6 weeks without a potty accident, AND he has managed to sleep the last two night without wetting his big boy undies. Yup... my baby is a big boy now. It is so amazing how time flies. Can't wait for the next adventure. I will post pictures of his first day of school this week. Loves

LUCKY DUDE

So after returning for the river this last weekend we were told that our friend Big Glenn found a baby Desert Tortise in his back yard. Immediatly I sent him a message saying if it needed a new home we would love to have it. (I have been thinking about a turtle for Sean for awhile now). We went to store, bought all the stuff the little guy will need to thrive and now tomorrow he will arrive at his new home. He is still a baby and is very very tiny. (About the size of a silver dollar) He is going to take a long while to grow, but I think that he will do great things living with us. I can't wait for Sean to meet his new buddy. Also known as LUCKY-DUDE. Do to the fact he almost was a victim of the lawn mower. Ahh the adventure begins. Pictures to be posted shortly
